Review on The paper ``Current methods for recurrent events data with dependent termination” (Sinha et al., 2008, JASA, 866-878)"

405 , Mathematics Research Center Building (ori. New Math. Bldg.)

Some practical issues and an example are used to motivate the interest in recurrent events data. For this type of data, I'll introduce the various existing models and their related modeling assumptions. The focus is placed on the appropriateness and implication of assumptions, the adequacy for application in practice, and the major differences between these models in terms of their motivations and physical interpretations. The usefulness of the current methodology is further demonstrated through an analysis of data from a clinical trial. Finally, some possible extensions will be also discussed in this talk.
