103 , Mathematics Research Center Building (ori. New Math. Bldg.)
This series of three lectures aims for an introduction to the method of efficient congruencing and how to use it to estimate the mean values of exponential sums. We will begin by introducing the circle method. Then we will talk about the classical Vinogradov Mean value theorem. Finally, we will introduce the efficient congruencing method and outline the proof the main conjecture of the Vinogradov mean value theorem.
