We introduce finite monodromic Hodge structures, which lie between exponential and classical Hodge structures. We characterize these structures by defining extended Deligne and Serre tori in the real and rational CM contexts, respectively. Along the way, we introduce gamma motives, which provide the twisting factors between finite monodromic and classical Hodge structures. Joint work with Ping-Hsun Chuang and Claude Sabbah.
