A Fano transition consists of a primitive crepant contraction of a smooth Fano divisor to a single point, followed by a smoothing of the resulting singularity. In this talk, we prove that, under appropriate local assumptions, the monodromy-invariant quantum cohomology of the smoothing can be reconstructed from that of the resolution via analytic continuation or regularization, and specialized at a special value. Furthermore, we provide explicit examples showing that the limiting value of the Novikov variable at the transition point is determined by the special values of Dirichlet L-functions.
