There has been renewed interests of classical Nevanlinna theory due to its applications in difference integrable systems of second order in recent years, mostly due to the works of Ablowitz, Halburd, Korhonen, etc. We shall report on recent developments of new Nevanlinna theories of difference types built on important difference operators arising from qspecial functions. (i.e., Askey-Wilson operator and Wilson operator). These are joint projects with Shaoji Feng and Kam-Hang Cheng.
