Compact shrinking Ricci solitons are also natural extensions of Einstein metrics of positive scalar curvature and are critical points of Perelman's $\nu$-entropy. In this talk, I shall discuss the second variation of Perelman's shrinker entropy and stability of positive Einstein manifolds and compact shrinking Ricci solitons.
