Given an oriented quadratic ring of discriminant D, consider “collinear” triples of oriented invertible fractional ideals. The equivalence classes of these triples from an abelian group which is naturally identified with the group of all Bhargava cubes of discriminant D. We will also discuss the case with 2 replaced by Fq [t].
