In this talk I shall discuss the global properties of the moduli spaces of lattice polarized K3 surfaces. I shall start with an introductory example of elliptic curve families and explain why studying the global properties of moduli spaces is interesting and important. Then I will outline the main results on various lattice polarized K3s. After a heuristic explanation of these results, I will give some examples and sketch the proofs.
