We describe recent work (joint with G. Ben Arous, Y. Hu, S. Olla) proving the Einstein relation for (biased) random walks on a Galton--Watson tree, that is, a relation between diffusivity in equilibrium and the change in velocity as response to a perturbation. This follows some recent work on proving the ER for other models, and is a (first?) example of a situation where traps of arbitrary strength are present.
