The symmetries of an incompressible fluid are derived using group contraction, applied to a relativistic conformal fluid. We show that the recently considered conformal Galilei algebra is not a symmetry of an incompressible fluid. For a compressible fluid, nonrelativistic conformal symmetry, i.e. the Schrodinger symmetry is demonstrated for a special form of the potential.
