In this talk, I will discuss the local orbit types of orbits of the isotropy representations for semisimple pseudo-Riemannian symmetric spaces. In particular, I investigate the isotropy subalgebras of hyperbolic or elliptic orbits in terms of the restricted root systems for the symmetric spaces. I also investigate the structures of Weyl groups associated with the symmetric spaces to determine all the possible isotropy subalgebras.
