In module theory, each module associates a left exact functor and a family of covariant functors which replenish the lack of right exactness of in some sense.

We will define the sheaf cohomology using the left exact global section functor on sheaves of abelian groups in an analogous way using the results from homological algebra in abelian categories.

The seminar will cover section 3.1 and 3.2 of GTM52 including the universal -functor, vanishing theorem of cohomology of flasque sheaves, and the Grothendieck’s vanishing theorem.
