In 1985, Clemens gave a construction of compact complex manifolds of dimension three with trivial canonical bundle; these manifolds are possibly non-Kahler. Recently, Friedman proved that a general Clemens manifold admits the so-called ddbar lemma. Consequently, it admits a Hodge decomposition into (p,q)-types. In this talk, I will talk about VHS of general Clemens manifolds. I will also discuss some possible directions toward the finite distance problem if time permits.
