Canonical lifting of the rational nodal curve in positive characteristic

Serre-Tate's theory provides a canoincal lifting for an ordinary elliptic curves over a perfect field $k$ of positive characteristic. In this talk, we will give another characterization of Serre-Tate's lifting on ordinary curves. Our theory extends over the log setting and therefore provides also a canonical lifting for the rational nodal curve over $k$. This is a joint work with Kang Zuo.
