The Department of Mathematics of National Taiwan University is going to move into a new building. This is one of the most important events in the history of the department, and would open a new chapter for the mathematical development in Taiwan . For the celebration, we plan to have a series of mathematical activities co-sponsored by the department, the Taida Institute for Mathematical Sciences(TIMS) and the National Center for Theoretic Sciences (NCTS/TPE).

The celebration will start on June 29, 2009. For the first week June 29 - July 3, we have planned a series of distinguished lectures for large audience. For the second week July 6 - July 11, the department will host an international conference of mathematics, together with a forum of female mathematicians and an alumni gathering on July 8. For the third week July 13 - July 17, there will be a series of interdisciplinary talks of sciences and mathematics from our scientific colleagues and alumni. The talks are for students as well as faculties.
